Number of visible email addresses different in different views
I had terrible trouble with a useful title and haven’t tried searching here for the same reason.
(1) In Outlook 2007 when I click on tools/accounts/email I see pages of email accounts that I have set up. Let’s say there are 150 addresses.
(2) When I compose a new email and click on the ‘account’ pull down to choose my origin address I don’t see all of my 150 email accounts from (1). A rough count shows only about 98 are visible. Now 98 is not a binary multiple so there must be some other limitation in the PST file. Maybe it is the cumulative email address character count?
So I have three questions. Why are the number of visible addresses in (2) so many less than in (1)?
Why is it in (2) that the early addresses are prefixed 1 to 9 and then A to Z and yet beyond those there is no prefix?
What is the purpose of that alphanumeric prefix in (2)
Many thanks,
Tom
