Default Office 2016 pst on SSD or HDD, and importing after clean install

I am replacing my SSD and currently have my data / user files including Outlook 2016 .pst and .ost on my HDD.
Part of the replacement means reinstalling Outlook 2016.

1) Should the Outlook data files remain on the HDD, or should they be moved to the SSD? I recall years back the advice was that the continuous read / write is not good for SSDs.

2) Whether they are moved to the SSD or remain on the HDD, what is the easiest way to open import them into my new Outlook? Is it just a case of loading the existing /.pst and .ost in Outlook for them to open in the new Outlook install?

thanks
