This is such a broad topic it is impossible to give any specific advice. Perhaps you could use a search engine to find a free online tutorial. For example, there's a four part tutorial which starts here:

You could also search for some free dashboard templates which you could download.
If you are willing to spend some money, you could buy a dashboard book (there are several available) and/or buy some dashboard templates.
