Default Unable to turn off change tracking in MS Word

Hello,

I'm using MS Office Standard 2016 on Windows 10. I have an MS Word document where somebody turned on Change Tracking (please see attached screenshot).

I'm trying to turn off Change Tracking but have not been able to. Here are the things I tried.

  1. From the menu, I did Accept | Accept All Changes and Stop Tracking, but that does not seem to do anything.
  2. Also, following instructions found online, I did Review | Click icon at bottom-right of Tracking group | Advanced Options | Changed Lines = None, but that does not seem to do anything either.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Burt
