I'm trying to incorporate a sheet.xltx template into my XLSTART folder. When I have a workbook open that was created with the default MS formatting (Calibri), when I add a new sheet based on sheet.xltx, in the headers and footers only, the formatting from the existing sheet affects the new sheet's formatting, but inconsistently, as follows:

• Left header: correct, unaffected by existing sheet
• Middle header: inherits font from existing sheet, no size change
• Right header: inherits from existing sheet, no size change
• Left footer: inherits from existing sheet, font size changed
• Middle footer: inherits font from existing sheet, NO font size change
• Right footer: inherits font from existing sheet

Is there a way to protect the formatting I want to use in sheet.xltx when I add a new sheet that uses different formatting?
