I cleared Temp folder completely, and tried "winword.exe /a" a few times, but I still get the print error... so not an AddIn error.

So that leaves 2 possible solutions:
-if all my docs are "corrupt" as you say, is there some way to mass-correct them?
-maybe my margins are too narrow (or paragraphs too wide). Is there some benchmark rules for min margin or max paragraph width in MS Word 2013?
