I understand and appreciate the suggestions but can't move to the Word 2010 environment or apply styles because I am editing other people's documents and can't (mustn't) modify them to that degree. To insert a page break between existing paragraph marks, I can insert a new page-break-with-paragraph mark and remove one of the existing paragraph marks as a work-around, but I was looking for something simpler (and was wondering why the "Split apart page break and paragraph mark" option was removed, or whether it was just moved somewhere that I couldn't see).
