Try the
Folded Card method. It may suit your needs.
With Publisher open, click the
Page Design tab and then expand the
Page Setup options.
Change the
Layout type to
Folded card.
In the
Sheet fold options, change to
Half-sheet side fold.
Change the
Page width to
29.7 cm and then the
Page height to
42 cm.
Margins can also be changed at the point in the dialog box.
I’m using metric. You will need to change the to the inches equivalent if your set up is in imperial.
Click the sheet fold option to force the preview to reflect your inputted sizes, OK to progress.
Click
Yes to
Automatically insert pages.
Add content to
Page one. My 'publication' is simple and I’m just inserting an image and resizing to suite the page size (A3).
Add content to
Page two as before.
In the
Print Preview, check the result and the settings then print.
The printer connected at the time of the video creation shown below doesn’t print to
A2 size, so I have opted to use Adobe PDF printer to try and show you the resulting PDF image and the A2 size (59.4 cm x 42 cm).
Click the image below to see a short video of the above.
Your printer, if it doesn’t support the
A2 size, may not have the options you need and subsequently aren’t there to select.
Print sizes are taken from printer drivers installed.
Most printers give pages approximately a 3mm border around a printed page. Some printers offer a ‘no borders’ option but this may only be seen as an option when high quality paper settings are opted for and this feature may not be offered at all page sizes.
A PDF can have no borders as in my example – however, as soon as it is printed out, the border may be added by the printer settings by default unless options are there to remove them.
