Default How to create an insert in the middle of a document?

I'm working on my graduation thesis in Art History and rather than having the images of the artworks next to the text, I'd like to insert some pages in the middle of the document with separate data sheets for each artwork with the full picture and a nice table detailing facts like author, date of production etc.

How can I do this without interrupting the flow of the document?
