Default Outlook 2010 Autocomplete not working properly

Here is the scenario I am trying to resolve:
Brand new computer, fresh install of Windows 7 32 bit, all updates and patches applied except SP1 for Win7. New install of Office 2010, new profile setup on this computer. From the old computer, I did a backup / export of emails, contact list, calendar and also a copy of the .nk2 file for auto complete. This was from Office 2007.
Once a new profile was setup I did a new email account setup and then began importing back in the .pst files created earlier. I also was able to bring back in the autocomplete information from the nk2 file and this is now the default autocomplete file of Outlook 2010.
My issue is this, when the user opens outlook 2010 and tries to use autocomplete to send a new email, autocomplete does not work, if they close out of outlook and then reopen, this works fine, but on occasion, they can open outlook, does not work, close and reopen,, and then this is fine. I have ran the scanpst.exe program which did find errors with the pst file and resolved these, I have also reset the ethernet card properties to NOT have Windows turn this off to conserve power. I was thinking of having outlook clear the nk2 file, but I need to know how to rebuild this as my user has MANY contacts and needs to have this function working.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
