You don't seem to have any especially heavy or tricky email usage, so you should be fine with the Outlook in Office 2013. Much of the changes since have to do with group collaboration and cloud functionality.

There's also a Mail client built into Windows 10.

Are you getting Student or similar discount? If not, be careful where you buy—those prices you mention are in the 'too good to be true' range.
