Extending or shortening an existing line
I use word 2010. In an older version of word, I was able to click on an existing line, hold the shift button down and the line would stay in the same orientation as when I started.
Then I could make the line longer or shorter as needed. It would stay straight, horizontal or a cardinal degree, wherever it started. In word 2010 if you click on an existing line, then hold shift down, the line goes to infinity off the page. If I try to extend or shorted the line without the shift, it is pretty much impossible to keep the line straight or in the same orientation that it was originally in. What is the trick with 2010? What changed?
