Default Link Parts of Word to Powerp Point

So I am in school and have take lots of notes in Word. I would like to link them to PowerPoint which I use to make Flash Cards. Both the Word and PP files are saved to OneDrive fyi.

Heres my steps:

- In Word I Highlight and copy a portion of Word Document (the portion contains Text, some Math text/characters from the Design tab in Word such as Summations, Greek letters, Integral notations, and possibly a graphic I pasted in world)

- I go into Powerpoint and I Paste Special >> Paste link >> Microsoft Word Document Object

- This works perfect, if I edit my Word doc the changes are reflected in PP

Problem: If I close the PP doc and reopen it I get an error..."MS has Identified a potential security concern. The presentation contains links to other files. If you update links, PP will attempt to retrieve the latest info. If you dont update links, PP will use the previous information"

-If I click "Update Links" it says my source document was moved, renamed or deleted (this is not true)

-If I hit Close which will not update links, and then right click on the linked object in slide view and click Update Link I get error saying "The linked file was unavailable and can't be updated"

Things I have Tried:

-In PP... File >> Info >> Edit Links to Files... If I click on a link and Change Source, when I go back to look at the slide it has added most of the Word document to the Link, not just the highlighted portion I want linked and has also moved its position

-Is there a better way to go about doing this, I need to be able to edit stuff in Word and have it reflected in PP without the link breaking every time I close PP

-It seems like the only way it works is if I never close and reopen PP, which is pointless.

I Tried attaching my documents but the Files are to large
