In Word, click File > Print to see if you are actually dealing with borders. If you are, you can remove them from the Borders and Shading dialog box. Select the table and then click the arrow on the border button in the Paragraph group on the Home tab, and then click Borders and Shading. In the dialog box, you can remove borders by clicking them in the preview.
