Why can't I paste a rich text content control in a .docm format file as a link?. It works in .docx format. When I try to paste as a link i get an error message "We cannot obtain the data for the Word.Document.12 link."

I have tried this out in Word 2016 and it works fine. The rich text content controls pasted as links update as intended. It's 2013 version that's not working.
