Unsure why running a macro that generates text is deleting the legacy form field I want the text in
Greetings all.
I have a template with several legacy form fields that I want to input information into. I have several macros that generate text. Up until very recently, I was using an older version of word. Essentially I have a hotkey that protects/unprotects the word document, so I would tab through the legacy form fields, unprotect the document, then run a macro.
In the older version, this would generate the text INSIDE the legacy form field. However, I recently upgraded to word 2013, and when I run the macros it deletes the legacy form field and simply puts the text where the field used to be. I have so far been unable to get around this and have been trying for days.
I need a solution that:
1.) Gets the text INSIDE the legacy form field.
2.) Gives me the choice of running several different macros (I can't simply set up a macro to run when exiting the form field, as I have several different to choose from).
Thanks for taking the time to read!
