"When you go to insert a TOC, it asks if you want to replace the current TOC. A "no" response puts it at your insertion point."


What version of Office are you using? Because in my Word 365, there is no query as to where to put it.... now that I managed to move the table of contents to where I want it, the TOC is inserting at the cursor location now.
