I am having a problem pasting data into a cell in Excel. I am trying to paste 650 characters but it gets truncated after 255 characters.

I tried pasting the same data into MS Word and all 650 characters appear. So apparently the clipboard contains all 650 characters and when I paste, it gets truncated to 255.

The data I am copying to the clipboard comes from another Excel spreadsheet with a .html extension. If I copy the data from some other source then the paste works fine and I get all 650 characters.

If anyone has any insight into this problem, I'd appreciate it.
