Does the web site use small caps for the copied range? If so, and you're pasting in a range to which a Style definition has been applied, it may be that Word is picking up that definition. In that case, the Style name on the Formatting menu bar should show that the name has been changed. You may need to change it back to your preferred Style name or, when pasting, paste as unformatted text.
