Hello!
I know that there is a way of doing this in excel : typing and then having the cell lock automatically lock once (you set it so a warning box comes up to tell you that the info won't be able to be edited).
I would have to remind myself HOW to do it, but I KNOW it can be done.
What I would like to know is if it is possible to do such a thing in Word?
More information:
I would like to set an assessment task to my students with various questions where each question builds on from the previous one (and if the answers are wrong earlier then the rest will also be wrong) and so my intention is to discuss answers between each 'submitted' answer.
Because I want them to get used to using the Equation Editor, I also want them to answer it on Word.
Obviously, the problem is that students could then go and edit their previous answers before the final answers are submitted, which would make it not very useful as an assessment task.
So I want them to answer Q1 in a section and then once that is done, the section is locked automatically, we discuss, then answer Q2, repeat. And then at the end there are #Qs of locked sections.
