Hi macropod, thanks for your input. I'm not quite sure what I would need to do to "ensure the paragraph before/after settings equal." I'm not new to Word but there's still a lot I'm not familiar with.

I did find a way though that's pretty fast and works good. I discovered you can move images up and down with the arrow keys, so I just center horizontally and then move them where I want them. It moves in small increments and I can get them exactly where I want them. At least I was finally able to make some headway after hours of struggling.
