Im reaching out for any MVP or Microsoft Word Geeks

This is a scenario which are having in our business. Causing huge impact.

All machines running at least i5, 8GB and SSD

Windows 10 1709
Office Version any up to 1803 (this happens in all versions)

So we have a repository of the templates which after we click on the shortcut it comes up with the splash screen saying starting then it can take anywhere from 5-45 secs+ to then seek to the path of the templates for word.

On sometimes it will get stuck trying to load a certain template from a network drive
On other times it will load up and go straight through.

If Stefan is Blom is available or someone to his level that could tell us why this is happening. Every other application on office or normal apps are launching normally under 5secs.

We are checking all event logs in every area, but we cannot put a finger on anything why word is getting stuck.

For the last week we are focusing a daily meet to discuss findings.

We have tried newly built machines and once all updates have been settled etc it seems to be opening correctly. We are building to win10 version 1709. Our existing machines are mostly Win 10 ranging from 1607 to 1709. We are seeing this error only happening with Word.

Any help to shine a light so i can test your fixes im willing to try and check.

Please can you assist.
