I have been using Macs with Microsoft Word for several years, and I have used the document positioning and zoom save features regularly, until the Office 2016, when it is no longer available. I would like to see it back again without having to make special "macro solution". I don't know why it was removed in the first place.

I've been using Word in DOS, on Macs, and in Windows since the '90s.
- This is not a Microsoft sponsored forum. It is user-to-user peer support.
- This is not Microsoft's complaint box or suggestion box. You can find that here:Word for Mac: User Voice
- In previous versions it was not "permanent" but was "sticky." They "fixed" this recently, as you have observed. They did this in both the Windows and the Mac versions.
- The purpose of this forum is to help users make the most of the version of Word they have. No one here has the ability to make any changes in the program, itself. No one here works for Microsoft.
- If you do not like the workaround offered, don't use it.
