Unable to select text using mouse after recent Office 365 update
Following recent O365 update, I cannot use mouse to select text (unless you make 4 or 5 frustrating attempts). Even after downloading and reinstalling Office the problem continues. It's become so pervasive and infuriating that it's affecting productivity. Even searching the web hasn't yielded a solution, only numerous complaints about this same scenario. Having used ever version of Office since its first release, I know this just started occurring after the last O365 update and should be a fixable bug.
For example:
1. I left-click and hold button at the beginning of the text to be selected and drag to the end of the selection and release left button.
2. As I drag mouse left the text is shaded.
3.When you release the button, the shading disappears. Whereas before when the left button is released the text remains shaded and one can typeover, delete, of click and drag shaded text another location.
This has become such a problem it's becoming a productivity drain, repeatedly re-doing quick selections and click/drag or have to retype information attempting to perform actions that usually took only seconds.
ANY Microsoft or MVP solution would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
I've done an Office repair and even uninstalled and reinstalled O365 and Desktop versions and continue having the same problem. I'm running Windows 10 on a Dell 8900 XPS with a 3TB hard drive.
