In that case, you assumed incorrectly. I perhaps didn't make it clear enough - YOU need to edit the styles in the receiving document to match the styles in the source document.

It is likely that the styles are based on themes so you might first check to make sure the same theme is applied to both documents - this is faster than editing styles. Go to Design tab to look at the theme and variant applied. Make sure the Source doc is the same.

If the theme/variant is not the issue then you are back at styles. Find the Define Styles command and add it to your Quick Access Toolbar.
