I attempted to get help before on this forum. I don't understand why programs such as Office Libre and Open Office will open a document on Windows desktop and Microsoft Office no longer opens directly. It did before all of Windows upgrades poured in. Now when I try to open document a directly all I get is the basic Microsoft Office screen. Right clicking and selecting Word to open a document gets the same results. Trying to make Word the default and uninstalling the other Word clones doesn't work. Will some show me something that works. If I could I would go back to an earlier version of Windows if that would help, but so far everything I try becomes a dead end. HELP!

Hold on...... After troubleshooting, I let Windows 10 repair it, after selecting different settings. I never thought that feature worked. Sorry for the false alarm. Shalom!
