Default Need to format word 2016 table as an Excel worksheet

Began inserting table as in Excel worksheet. Initially, it only brought in parts of the large table. I expanded the* number of columns by dragging to the right. At this point the table changed style.* The data for the additional rows still needs to be* added. If I could get back to the worksheet format they could be added by dragging down.
