Default Font reverting back to default after 2 saves

Hello,

I am having an issue with saving font size/bolding R squared values for scatter plot trend lines on charts being pasted from Excel into PowerPoint presentations.

This is what is happening with the R squared (trend line label):

I’ve been going through and changing the font size from 9 (default for R squared values in PowerPoint) to 14 and making the font bold. I save the presentation and when I open it up the next time I need to work on it, the font changes have all kept. Then, if I continue to work on the presentation and save a SECOND time, all of the R squared values revert to regular (not bold) size 9 font. All of the other formatting changes/font changes are saving correctly on the chart – it is only the R squared value which does this after two saves.

I’ve tried embedding the fonts. I’ve tried looking at the ‘Format Trendline Label’ side panel option but no font options are listed. I’ve tried saving it into a new Power Point, I’ve tried ‘save as’ instead of just ‘save’. This issue is happening for the R2 values in both Excel and PowerPoint. It is not happening on my boss’s computer, only my own!

I’d rather not save all of the slides a PDFs but am considering that option if I can’t figure this out! Has anyone else encountered this issue?
