Default Document with options to choose paragraphs to input / hide

I'm not even sure where to start and if Word is the right tool for this job.

I have amassed different contracts and clauses into a large word file. What I would like is the ability to hide all optional clauses in a standard contract. When creating a new contract, I could select optional clauses to populate the Word file according the specifics of the case.

An example of my thinking:

Quote:
Standard Contract A
I agree to the payment of $X to company Z at the time of 1/1/2020. If payment is not made by deadline, I agree to the terms below.

(Show penalty paragraph? YES | NO)
If fees are not paid I agree to pay penalty

(Show forfeiture paragraph? YES | NO)
The property of 123 Main Street will be forfeit and assets will be claimed in the amount of $X

(Show null paragraph? YES | NO)
Previous agreements will become null.
A user could select each paragraph of their choosing that is relevant to the contract. When done, the document can be exported with only the selected contract.

Is this possible in Word? Should I look into a different MS software? Is there a name (document aggregation?) for this type of document so that I could search further? Any help would be tremendous
