The Word templates were originally kept on my computer and I had no issue with speed. When I clicked the button in Excel, the new document was created, and the dialogue popped up almost instantaneously. Ever since I moved the Word templates to the server things have slowed down. Again, this is only with the Word templates that are macro enabled. Also, I can't have these be regular Word templates because I intend on adding userforms into all the Word templates later on.
