Default Adding to customize view

How does one add the email address field so that they show in the contacts pane. I have Full name, company address etc. and I would like to see the email address shown after their name. I have tried to customize view but I do not seem to be able to add the email address.
I am using Outlook 2007, 12.00+

Help would be appreciated.
