Hi,
that does it, and I would need that between the actual two times in col A.
I didnt realise though that the formulation for calculating the increment between two times in A1 and A6, a 5 cell progression was so 'overwhelming'.
I have lots of these time gaps of varying cell gaps and I see copy paste of that formula in C1 works for any gaps now.
Is it necessary to have a new column for times, as all cells have to have the formula in I imagine so. I will collapse up column A afterwards, or I could paste value into another column and nuke A and C !
I typed out the long formula with { } and nothing worked, a friend said remove the { } and then go ctrl shift enter, then it worked , after formatting the cells as time.

I had hoped Excel would have had a menu choice of even progression between two selected values.

Thanks

DBenz
