How long is a piece of string? Are you trying to push that string end-wise uphill?
Really, you've told us nothing much that can be used for this. Getting the data out of Word depends on how well structured those documents are. Analysing the data in Excel requires that you set up the appropriate filters and that you've collected the relevant data in a way it is amenable to such analysis. Furthermore, Excel may not be the best tool; Access might be better suited.
