I am using MS Office XP (about 2003) on a Windows 7 (64 bit) system. I know it is very old but it works!!!!!

In the past month both Word and Excel have started to run very slowly (displaying ("not responding").

I have deleted Office.
Rebooted the system.
Run regedit and deleted
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
rebooted the system
Re-installed Office

But this has not solved the problem.

Can anyone please explain why this is happening and how to resolve?
