Regarding your comments on older brains' longevity, I would hesitate to argue the point, mine being only a pre-war version from '39!
I looked at and even tested out the instruction of the format that you recommended on the particular template in question.
Strangely, it shows all the details that I had discovered by "normal" means - highlighting and seeing the font and size in the window of the document etc. - but it didn't answer my query.
I have no idea why the words that I added changed their location and appeared beneath the ones already typed instead of in a continual line. My thought is that maybe ‘Columns’ had been inserted but this did not show on the form appearing after ‘Shift+F1.’
Neither was I able to discover why in the design of the page it showed as “0” pt and clearly was not, as it had a space equivalent to 12 pt, that which would be used to denominate a new paragraph.
In a “normal” paragraph, the following line of text would be expected to follow directly beneath that above it, not at the space which designates a paragraph!
I shall continue to ‘play’ with this template and would hope that, sometime this year, I might achieve a solution!
