See if you can borrow another keyboard and try that. I suspect your keyboard.

BTW, there is no advantage to using the 64-bit version of Office in Word, Outlook or Powerpoint. For some power users, there is better performance in Access and Excel. For Word, there can be disadvantages. This has nothing to do with your issue with the Tab key, though.
