I think this can be done using developer tools. I have a document wherein the title will have a number entered, and the title will always be "Design Note ####". Elsewhere in the document, I want that number to be referenced so it's always the same elsewhere in the doc. I think there's a way to create an entry box that the user edits (so the user will edit the #### in the title) and that entry box will have a reference property.

I'm happy to follow a set of solutions if someone can simply point me in the right direction. It's just not easy to find the right search terms for this problem.
