Your documents will work just the same in Word 2003-2016 as they did in Word 2002. You refer to them as forms, but all they really are is documents with some tabs & underlining etc. to give the appearance of a form.

If you want the documents to function as forms, you'll need to add content controls or formfields in the relevant locations. If the documents are to be used as forms on Word 2003 & earlier, or on Macs, you're better off sticking with formfields. For more, see:
