Word 2007 - Wilcard Expression - End of File
Greetings,
I have looked high and low, and I am not sure that such a thing exists, but here is a synopsis of my problem, followed by my question.
I am working with a large number of files converted from .pdf that share a common expression that occurs near then end of each file -- "PASSED:"
This word is followed by gibberish that concludes each file; e.g. --
"A~p~ri~l~13~•~20~1~7~~~~* APPROVED this ____ ___ 2017 l ltb day of _v{-p_r_i..._I I ".
These are random characters that are not consistent between files. In any case, they are not not needed for my project.
I would like to apply a macro that gets rid of the keyword "PASSED:" as well as everything that follows that keyword to the end of the file.
My question is this: What is the Word wildcard expression or representation for the end of a file? Does such an expression or representation even exist?
Thanks and regards,
Q.
