A SEQ field can output letters or numbers; the choice is yours. Simply apply the appropriate 'picture switch'.
For example a SEQ field coded as:
{SEQ Nr \* Arabic}
will output numbers. the same field coded as
{SEQ Nr \* alphabetic}
will output lower-case letters and, coded as:
{SEQ Nr \* ALPHABETIC}
will output upper-case letters.

Other options include:
\* CardText
\* Hex
\* OrdText
\* Ordinal
\* Roman

Using SEQ fields is hardly a complicated affair.
