Default Purple is not compatible in Excel 2007
This is daft. If I daft the font colour to purple and try to save it I am told

The following features are not supported...

Select Cell H1 "£19.15" and drop down the colour picker. On the bottom right of the standard colours (Which is purple) select this and try to save (Excel 2007)

I have used these standard colours on other spread sheets without a problem.
