If you're using a POP connection your old emails were likely stored in a .PST file on your computer. If, by reset, you mean you re-installed Windows, the old files might be gone. Did you reformat the drive or simply do an over-the-top install? If it was a reformat your only probably option is to find someone that can do a file recovery, which is iffy at best with .PST files. If it was an over-the-top install, I would recommend doing a search of your hard drive in hopes that it wasn't overwritten.
You can do the search by going to the Start Menu and selecting Find > Files and Folders. Enter "*.pst" (without the quotes), and make sure you're searching in hidden files and folders.
If you do find the .PST file, you can just open in it Outlook by selecting File > Open.
