Outlook 365 is putting SPAM in wrong account...
I changed from Office 2007 to Office 365 recently. I have 3 e-mail accounts and it insists on moving SPAM from my primary account to one that I don't normally use. If I expand both accounts, I can watch as it moves SPAM from the primary and the SPAM folder in one of the other accounts gets them [the number in parentheses gets bigger]. I can then go look at them in that SPAM folder and they are the ones I got in my primary account.
I have spent HOURS on the phone w/ MS technical service. The last guy [Navin] told me that Outlook could not do what I was claiming; that it could not work that way.
He was operating my computer remotely and I showed him one piece of SPAM that I get several times a day. It was in the SPAM folder of my secondary account, but the TO: address was my primary account. That shut him up, but he still, I think, suspected that I was doing something to cause this.
I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security. Called K and they got me to download and install Ver. 18 [I had been running Ver. 17]. That didn't change anything. It's not clear to me whether K or MS is doing the SPAM move? K got me to run some diagnostics and I [hopefully] uploaded the log files to them. I have not heard back from K.
I have not written any rules. I have looked to see if there are rules that might move SPAM to the other account and didn't find anything.
I'd appreciate any suggestions re how to fix this.
