Not Changing Fonts From English to Non-English.

Hi
I copy a column pf numbers from Excel and Paste it to Work.
Now in Word, I try to change the pasted numbers' font to another font. It changes to English fonts but not change to Arabic or Persian fonts. it seems locked to non-english fonts.
please help me how change the fonts.
