Smile how to remove left non standard indent added on every new table

Hello,
All new tables that I create seem to have a left indent of 3.81cm in all the cells. When I put the cursor in the cells, there's a 3.81cm gap between the grid and the cursor. How do I restore the document to not do that anymore?
(see picture attachment)

As a patch, I have to select all new table cells and move the left indent square on the ruler.

When I type outside the table, there is no unexpected 3.81cm indent problem. The style both inside and outside the table is "normal". (see picture attachment)

My initial tables created in Word were all fine. It is only much later I realized that brand new tables created in Word don't look like the original appearance. I think it the tables got messed up when I tried to paste data from Excel, where the Excel table didn't look good and I erased it.

Ideas please? I have Office Home and Business 2010.
Frank
