I chatted online with Microsoft and the assistant admitted that Office for Mac is not the same as Office for Windows.
That's hardly something that isn't widely known. For example, Office on the Mac has never supported Access or, in Word, ActiveX controls. The list of differences is long. Moreover, since the Mac runs a different operating system, macros that access folders or the registry, for example, would need to be written for the Mac environment; the PC code just won't work.
