Before I give up on this printing problem with Word 2010, here is a re-cap:
-About 3/4 of time I try to print docs (or a page/pages from a doc) in Word 2010, I get the following:
"There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font."
-If I don't exit Word immediately, MS Word crashes within a minute.
-If I do exit Word in time, I often I get warning:
"You placed a large amount of data on the clipboard. Do you want this content to be available to other applications after you quit Word?"
So Word rightly or wrongly thinks I am consuming vasts amount of memory, even when am I am not.
-I never had this problem in MS Word 2003 (although 2003 had other problems, which 2010 fixed)
-I have a brand new PC, and all I did was install Office 2010, copy over backups of docs/pdf/txt/xls, installed latest printer drivers
-My new PC has more memory (8GB), 1 TB, and is 64-bit.
-The clipboard is empty, and I still get insufficient memory error.
-Brother confirm it is not a problem with printer, and I downloaded latest drivers and still get the error.
-I never get error with XLS/TXT/PDF just with DOC.
-The only temporary solution which doesn't always work, is delete normal.dot and normal.dotm, and run Smart Defrag.
-Rebooting alone does not usually fix it.
-Office repair doesn't repair on my old PC, and doesn't work on new PC (and was told on different thread Repair does little).
-I have deleted temp files, both manually from DOS prompt, as well as %temp% in Windows Explorer
-I find I still get same error even with docs that are small, have nothing in clipboard, have no tables, and normal margins (2+cm for top/bottom/left/right)
... also I don't think it is a "setup" problem because:
-I installed on new PC usually using basic MS Office default install settings.
-On my old PC, I had no memory error with Word 2003, but after installed 2010 I got the error almost immediately.
-On my new PC, I also got the error almost immediately after same basic setup.
Also I tried SP2, but it said not necessary, or similar.
I doubt whether the major hassle of reformatting hard drive would fix problem, because I got same error when I bought my new PC recently.
Also saving all docs to pdf before printing is a fudge, but a hassle long term.
So this memory print error is likely a false-positive bug in MS Word 2010 (not Excel/Outlook/PDF, which print fine).
However, it seems MS doesn't fix reported bugs:

so not sure how to proceed with this frustrating situation.
Is there a correct way to report bugs to MS?
At another forum:

it said:
"Are there any newly added fonts in: C:\Windows\Fonts"
I checked and there are 4 new fonts, dated around the time I started getting
"There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font."
14/06/2017 05:30 AM 26,040 GlobalMonospace.CompositeFont
14/06/2017 05:30 AM 26,489 GlobalSansSerif.CompositeFont
14/06/2017 05:30 AM 29,779 GlobalSerif.CompositeFont
14/06/2017 05:30 AM 43,318 GlobalUserInterface.CompositeFont
All the other 525 fonts are dated 19/3/2017, or earlier... well before I bought new PC.
I was unable to delete these 4 fonts, they weren't hidden, and I unloaded all apps.
C:\Windows\Fonts\GlobalMonospace.CompositeFont
Access is denied.
C:\Windows\Fonts\GlobalSansSerif.CompositeFont
Access is denied.
C:\Windows\Fonts\GlobalSerif.CompositeFont
Access is denied.
C:\Windows\Fonts\GlobalUserInterface.CompositeFont
Access is denied.
How do I get rid of these 4 fonts?
If one googles on my error
"There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font."
there are numerous situation types when this error occurs.
I have tried all manner of suggestions, including a new PC.
What is the best way to report a bug in MS Word 2010, where it will be looked at?
It looks like I will have to upgrade to Word 2016, because still get getting the error
"There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font."
despite all attempts to fix it.
Can I do this cheaply alone, or to I have to buy whole Office 2016?
Any final help much appreciated.
