How can we share an MS Word 2010 document with Mac Ms Word?

How can we share an MS Word 2010 document with Mac if they do not have MS Word?

If converting to a RTF format then do we loose all of the MS Word formatting?

What are the best options so as not to loose the MS Word formatting?
