Question Vector image format

Hi all,

I am interested in using vector image format, because they have a lot of advantages:

- Include commentaries in an image (for example insert arrows and text on a bitmap). This way i can obtain a perfectly readable text on my image.

- Inserting function plots (ex y = x^2 or experimental data).

- Inserting equations written in latex as images.

Till the moment I have kept using "Encapsulated PostScript" (eps) format. And it has worked rather well. The problem is that the Office conversor to pdf does not treat "eps" images well.. My solution had been to use the "Adobe pdf" printer that converts the doc file to pdf. This printer represents the text, etc perfectly, but recently I have had some problems with it.

I am sure that there must be some sort of vector image format which works well. Does anybody know a vector image format good for Microsoft Office applications (mainly word and powerpoint) ?

Thank you very much in advance, I would appreciate any advise that you can give me,

Jesús
