Default Creating a Word document for SQL Server

Hi Folks,

so, here the first post from me....

I have a plan to create automatic documentation of a SQL Server using an SQL Server export tool (BCP) that creates XML files with the data I want to document.

The process should be as follows:
  • Execute a batch file on the SQL Server to generate the XML Files
  • Copy the folder with the XML Files to a machine with Word and the prepared templates
  • Make a copy of the template
  • Populate the appropriate paragraphs and tables with data from the XML files

It is the very last stage that has me stumped. How can I import the XML files into a Word document and at best, in a single click?

Many thanks for your help and I look forward to your suggestions!

Regards,
Kev
